Accreditation
Vine University holds an Exempt Status with the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) under the California Education Code, section 94874(e).
As a non-profit institution, the purpose of Vine University has always been to train and equip missionaries by providing ministry leadership training through distance learning so they may train and equip local leaders in their respective countries. Our strength is in having professors who are knowledgable about the mission field and have experienced it themselves. The professors also provide support by visiting your respective countries.
We acknowledge the preference and professional objectives of certain students that require degrees from institutions accredited by US Department of Education-approved agencies. At the same time, we recognize that many students seek fulfillment in institutions with alternative accreditation methods, particularly those rooted in biblical principles. There are also educational institutions offering both biblical and secular degrees that often have identical tuition fees for both programs.
The expense of secular accreditation can pose a significant financial burden, especially when it is not a mandatory requirement for pursuing a career in ministry. Affording this cost may be challenging for many individuals. It is important to note that numerous biblical colleges and universities do not typically hold secular accreditation. If your aim is to obtain a secular degree, it is strongly recommended to enroll in an institution that possesses the necessary secular accreditation to ensure the recognition and transferability of your qualifications.
Vine University or any of its degree programs is not accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. A student enrolled in an unaccredited institution is not eligible for federal student aid.
